Dave has been teaching for 30 years and holds a Masters in TESOL. After establishing an English school in Japan in 1993, his interests grew towards using technology to best serve the needs of students. He has worked in the development of digital books, LMSs and VR. Dave has looked outside the box for real solutions for real-world, educational needs, and brings that same approach to virtual reality. Hailing from Canada and based in Japan, he has taken on the role of Chief Product Officer with Veative, ensuring that educational needs remain a focus within the company.

Adapting Immersive Technology for Learning Post-COVID-19
A discussion around the latest research and development around immersive technologies in education. We will host a series of short presenters that will introduce innovative research and projects in immersive learning. The short presentations will be followed by a panel discussion and open Q&A around implementing immersive learning during and after the health crisis. The event will be in AltspaceVR, which is a free Social VR platform owned by Microsoft that can be loaded onto PC, Mac, and also iOS and Android devices.
